Peace of Christ!

With greater exposure to information in this century, now within reach of almost everyone, apologetics has become a powerful weapon for religions.

For lack of knowledge, many people are deceived every day. Through the knowledge they possess, some survive another day and others are killed…

Lately I have been hearing the following phrase quite often: “All paths lead to God.” Very often indeed! And it is a great and dangerous lie.

Along with it I hear some others that I will address in other posts.

The reason I am talking about them is that seemingly harmless phrases can have a highly destructive impact. They act like a poison that may not always kill us directly, but may weaken us to the point where we are easily defeated.

When we study the history of great wars, we can see that the greatest damage was not done by the largest armies, but by small groups who infiltrated enemy territory and sabotaged it, catching the enemy unprepared.

Thus we can see that many of the enemy's strategies have been improved and modified over time. In the past, when a churchgoer did something wrong, they would soon withdraw from church until putting things right or being driven away for good by Satan.

Now something has changed.

People do wrong things and remain inside churches. This is so that they can make other people stray from the Way as well.

Think with me: If you were in the enemy's place, with the same intentions he has, what would you prefer to do? Draw a believer away from church and take their life, or let them keep attending church and have the opportunity to corrupt more believers and take more lives?

Satan is a great strategist, but we serve a God who is infinitely superior to him in every respect!

We serve a God of excellence, who loves and protects us. Yet we must walk according to His teachings and put on His full armor to stand firm against the devil's schemes (Ephesians 6:11).

A trap. The enemy prepares to catch us off guard. That is why we must be so watchful. And pray!

The enemy does not play to lose. He attacks with full force at the moments when we create “openings.” He is cunning, dirty, and patient.

‘Satan, like a fisherman, chooses his bait according to the fish's appetite.’ Thomas Adams

With each passing day we have seen more religions and doctrines being created by people who even call themselves Jesus!

Some operate very discreetly, feeding others that are more visible. The most dangerous are those that seem harmless, because they seek to deceive us with sound-looking logic, charity, changes in laws, and distorted use of Scripture.

There is also a passage of Scripture indicating that Satan wishes to wear out the saints:

‘He will speak against the Most High, oppress his saints, and attempt to change the times and laws.’ Daniel 7:25 NVI

After reading all this, perhaps you may think you are in a fight in which you have no chance of victory. If it depended only on you or me, we would certainly already be sifted in the enemy's hands. But if we are here, it is through the grace, love, and mercy of our God! And God fights for us! Hallelujah!

‘What is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world: our faith. Who overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.’ 1 John 5:4,5

Satan fears people like us, who have faith in God's power and wisdom.
May we understand God's intentions to guard our lives and protect us against the devil's attacks.

May God bless you!

Wishing you success!
