Peace of Christ!
I propose a simple question: How great is our God?
I will mention several points, inspired by verses, from different perspectives so that you yourself can reflect on the greatness of our God in your intimate time with the Lord.
'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.' 1 John 1:9
If we could list every time we knowingly sinned against God, perhaps we would become deeply depressed to see how we could have acted that way. And what about the times we did something unknowingly?
After a blessed worship service, we come home and argue with a family member, utter curses, watch programs with content unsuitable for those seeking to remain holy, grumble, and so on.
And what does God's Word say about this? God is attentive to our pleas and is faithful and just to forgive our sins! Let us confess to the Only One who has such power!
He IS greater than our sins!
Glory to God!
'For he rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, namely, the forgiveness of sins.' Colossians 1:13-14
Who IS this who has such authority to transport us from one dominion to another? When we study history, we can see how difficult it was to enter an enemy kingdom, let alone move a captive people elsewhere. Our God transferred us from the power of darkness into the Kingdom of His beloved Son!
He IS greater than any other authority. He IS sovereign!
Glory to God!
'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will hold you with my victorious right hand.' Isaiah 41:10
Do not feel alone and abandoned. Fear seeks to bring us down every day. We fear violence, being alone, disappointing people, losing our job, losing those we love, animals, giants, and so on.
But our God tells us: Do not fear! He is with us! Do not give up; simply believe and keep moving forward!
He IS greater than our problems.
Glory to God!
'Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.' Matthew 6:33
Life seems so short, with so many possibilities! We work hard and dream of reaching great heights, accomplishing great achievements, experiencing a great love, buying much-desired items, visiting paradisiacal places, and building a wonderful career.
Knowing that we were created with immense potential, we can end up prioritizing our routine and unnecessary things, forgetting God's promises for our lives and our calling, and failing to put our gifts into practice.
And what does God tell us about this? Don't worry (Do not be anxious)! Do what I told you, and I will take care of the rest for you!
He IS greater than our limits of time and tasks!
Glory to God!
'Come to me, all who are tired and burdened, and I will give you rest.' Matthew 11:28
How many blows do we take throughout life? How many disappointments? How many falls? How much pressure do we bear?
What does this usually lead us to think and feel? That we are tired and burdened. That we will not be able to cope. That we will not succeed.
And in spiritual life? When we intercede for someone and take on a war against hell for our family, our lives, our job, our calling? We end up forgetting that God IS the One who fights for us, and then how do we feel? Tired and burdened. Discouraged and wanting to give up.
But God calls us to rest in Him! He IS the God of renewal!
Glory to God!
How Great Is My God
May God bless you!
Wishing you success!
